Overview

Summary/Objective

The Sr. Data & Reporting Analyst is a recognized subject matter expert and will be responsible for transforming data into reports and visualizations that enable leaders to make informed, actionable decisions. This role will act as both consultant and advisor with internal cross-functional partners to scope, build, and maintain a variety of operational and product metrics. This role will also play a supportive role in maintaining the quality and flow of data between the organization's various tools that house customer data.

  • Provide insight to stakeholders to drive decisions and then deliver the best outcome based on defined requirements and sufficient discovery.
  • Leverage the best platform to construct the report and perform necessary testing to assure accuracy and relevancy of the outcome.
  • Analyze complex data sets to identify patters and trends using scripting, data blending, data visualization, and statistical programming languages to help translate high-level business problems into well-informed potential strategies and solutions
  • Design, test, deploy, and maintain standard reports, dashboards, and scorecards based on applicable and relevant KPI’s and OKR’s for the business, industry, and function.
  • Monitor and analyze utilization of dashboards and reports; develop and execute plans to drive adoption, continuously improve relevancy to business, and decommission as appropriate.
  • Develop reports and deliverables for management and encourage adoption through training and user support.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets, presenting insights to leaders in a manner that drives action at the appropriate level, whether as written reports, presentations, or talking points.
  • Work across the business to develop and deploy standard data structures and data models that support the organizational strategy and ensure compliance with deliverable reporting requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Business, Data Analysis, or related field.
  • 7-10 years’ experience working with complex data sets and multiple data sources.
  • Working knowledge of both predictive modeling and diagnostic analyses.
  • Must be proficient in SQL for the use of report-building and data management.
  • Must be proficient in at least one data visualization platform (DOMO, Power BI, Tableau, etc)
  • Familiar with concepts and practices of data governance and hygiene.
  • Experience working with data in a cloud data storage platform such as Snowflake.
  • Must have very strong analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree related to business or related field
  • Industry-specific knowledge in the automotive space.
  • Proficiency in Python and machine learning frameworks.
  • Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Proven ability to learn, adapt and achieve daily.
  • Ability to work with high degrees of professionalism in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to work independently and show judgment and initiative to accomplish job duties.

Supervisory responsibilities

This role has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Work environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers.

 

Physical demands

Physical requirements include occasional lifting/carrying of 5 pounds; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment.
