Overview

Summary/objective

The VP/SVP of Insurance & Industry Relations is responsible for leading the development of strategic alliances and partnerships within the insurance industry to support long-term growth and deliver market impact and customer value. This position will work closely with senior and executive level decision makers and act as a liaison between the industry and the sales team.

  • Oversee the development of partner business plans and driving go-to-market initiatives with partners
  • Establish and manage relationships with insurance companies by fostering trust, loyalty, and long-term partnerships
  • Maintain customer relationships by understanding their complex needs, proactively addressing concerns, and strategically driving business growth through cross-selling, upselling, and tailored solutions
  • Continuously review the insurance landscape to recommend, develop, and implement new and creative approaches to meet strategic partnership objectives
  • Develop business models and financial arrangements that result in growth in value for partners and customers that are mutually beneficial
  • Bulid and maintain positive relationships with key industry stakeholders, companies, associations, with the goal of advocating and promoting asTech’s image and achieving strategic objectives
  • Exude confidence in negotiating contracts with partners and achieving mutually beneficial agreements
  • Participate in networking events to source potential new partners and customers
  • Work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders across strategy, product, finance, data insights, marketing, sales, and other relevant teams to ensure close alignment on partnerships before, during, and after the deal sign

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Advertising, Sales, or other related field
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience with strategic partnerships and/or strategic sales
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Excellent relationship management skills including the ability to build rapport, actively listen, and clearly articulate complex information to customers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters in Business preferred
  • Proven track record of success in a senior-level strategic partnerships role
  • Experience in conducting due diligence, negotating partnership terms, and building relationships with external customers

Work environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers.

 

Physical demands

Physical requirements include occasional lifting/carrying of 5 pounds; visual acuity, speech, and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment.

 

Travel required

Travel is required in the role, potentially up to 50%. Job location preference is Plano, TX. If the position is filled remotely from the asTech Plano Headquarters, additional travel may be required.
