Summary/objective
The Repairify Technical Advisor will provide direct coaching and mentoring to individuals, primarily in our Monterrey, MX location, learning to perform scans, calibrations, and writing reports. Through the use of MS Teams and other technology, the advisor will directly observe work being performed, offering guidance as needed, to ensure all operations are performed correctly. Typically, the advisor will work with small groups of 1-3 people. The advisor will also be assessing performance through demonstration checklists to indicate when a learner has achieved proficiency.

Observe technicians performing diagnostic or calibration work virtually or in person
Provide feedback to the learner as needed to ensure accuracy of work
Provide focused coaching on initialization and programming of electronic repair events (EREs)
Adapts feedback methods as needed to ensure understanding
Reviews learner output for quality control
Assists in the updating/maintenance of tools to measure technician proficiency
Reinforce policies and procedures for the asTech® Technician
Studies relevant materials and new vehicle systems through own research
Consistently make decisions that are in direct alignment with Repairify core values

Minimum Qualifications:

3+ years experience in the asTech role being mentored (i.e., Remote Technician)
Demonstrated ability to perform work at a very high level in both quantity and quality
Strong communication skills
Desire to help others be successful

 
Preferred Qualifications:

ASE/I-CAR certifications
Expert automotive repair mastery across multiple vehicle makes

This role has no supervisory responsibilities.
 
Work environment
This job operates in remote (typically home) location. Appropriate office space and Internet is required.
 
Physical demands
Requirements also include occasional lifting/carrying of 25 pounds; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles.

Travel is not required but there may be some opportunities for it.
